ECP Dashboards and Brackets Delivery October 2012
ReconEng successfully completed design and delivery of more than 500 components for the Rio Tinto ECP upgrade project. Delivery included brand new dashboards for Dash-9 locomotives as well as brackets for Dash-9 and EVO locomotives instrumentation.
ECP project, part of the Rio Tinto railway capacity enhancement projects, is an upgrade of the braking control systems of the Rio Tinto rolling stock fleet consisting of 168 locomotives and over 5000 ore cars.
Delivery of the components was completed at an accelerated rate in conjunction with the ECP project installation phase. Online commissioning of the ECP braking system is scheduled for mid 2013.
