ECP Dashboards and Brackets Prototype Fitout February 2012
ReconEng successfully completes design and on-site installation of the prototype Dash-9 locomotive dashboards as well as instrumentation brackets for the Rio Tinto ECP upgrade project.
ECP project, part of the Rio Tinto railway capacity enhancement projects, is an upgrade of the braking control systems of the Rio Tinto rolling stock fleet consisting of 168 locomotives and over 5000 ore cars.
Design and prototype manufacture of dashboards and brackets were completed in a very short time frame and under budget. Successful prototype installation clears the way for installation of over 500 parts to be supplied by ReconEng for ECP project commissioning in late 2012.
