ReconEng successfully completed design, development and on-site commissioning of an automated Nickel drilling station at Minara Resources, WA.
System was designed for drilling and collection of Ni shavings for batch content analysis and replaced previous labour-intensive manual drilling.
It has a fully automatic drill and feed operation with feeder capacity of 250 briquettes as well as an additional semi-auto drill with incline feeder.
It achieves 10 second drill and feed time and with twin drills in full operation represents 800% productivity improvement with also significantly reduced task labour requirements.
